Micromax phones will be selling at 9,000 retail outlets across Russia and the company plans on launching up to 14 new phones in Russia by the end of this year. Micromax also plans on providing 60 service centers spread across Russia initially. Micromax has also partnered with Odnoklassniki and IVI.ru for providing value added content including Music, Videos, etc on their Smartphones. To start with Micromax has launched the Micromax Canvas Beat A114R and the Canvas Social A94 in Russia. The Canvas Beat A114R is a quad core smartphone with 1.2 GHz Broadcom processor backed by 1 GB RAM and 1.5 GB storage. The display is 5 inches in size and bears qHD resolution. Other features include 8MP/ 2MP camera and 1900 mAh battery. Commenting on the launch, Rahul Sharma, Co-Founder, Micromax said, “At Micromax, our emphasis has always been to democratize technology for masses around the world through an innovative product portfolio. Our initial focus in the Russian market is to replicate the success witnessed in our other markets in the last couple of years.
