The MT6595 chipset will feature 4 Cortex A17 cores and 4 power efficient Cortex A7 based cores, but the clock frequency of these cores has not yet been specified. The chipset will also feature integrated PowerVR Series 6 GPU. Another highlighted feature is the support for H.265 codec (Ultra HD 4K2K video record and playback), which are twice as efficient as H.264 and provides superior image quality. It also carries Ultra HD video playback support for H.264 and VP9. The chipset will support up to WQXGA (2560 x 1600) displays and 20 MP camera hardware along with MediaTek ClearMotion technology for smooth video playback at 60fps. On the connectivity front you will get Integrated 4G LTE with data rates up to 150Mbits/s downlink and 50Mbits/s uplink along with DC-HSPA+ (42Mbits/s), TD-SCDMA and EDGE for legacy 2G and 3G networks. It will also support WiFi 802.11ac, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo and QZSS Other features include Multi-standard inductive and resonant wireless charging, MediaTek’s companion multimode wireless power receiver IC support, Bluetooth LE and ANT+ for ultra-low power connectivity with portable devices and MediaTek MiraVision technology. The devices  incorporating this chipset will compete in the mid range price segment and are expected to be available in the second half of 2014.
